SAMPLE THIS VOLUME:

SPACE PATROL GOLD DVD, VOL. 1.  (Released October 28, 2004.)  Contained on this DVD are five very rare, never before seen 15 minute weekly Space Patrol TV adventures from the 1950's plus one half hour BONUS episode.  The 15 minute shows were originally broadcast locally in Los Angeles and later syndicated to a limited number of markets.  Although it has long been known that Space Patrol was done live in L.A., this DVD contains a rare and unexpected find:  Amongst the five untitled 15 minute shows on this volume -- two with the early uniforms, three with the later uniforms -- you will see an out-take from a scene that is re-shot, a surprise that only SP historian Jean-Noel Bassior could explain: "A couple of shows were bumped because of the 1952 Republican convention.  The July 10th show was shot on it's scheduled air date but broadcast a few days later via kinescope."  The last three 15 minute episodes on this DVD feature their original commercials.  OF SPECIAL INTEREST: Robby and another character wear the Captain Marvel tunic from the serial.  BONUS EPISODE:  The Man Who Stole a City (June 13, 1953, episode number 129), featuring Lee Van Cleef as the henchman of a super criminal who has stolen (from Bela Kovacs in a non Baccarratti role), a device which allows buildings and spaceships to be shrunk to the size of toys. No commercials.  These episodes were made directly from the original Space Patrol kinescopes in the following manner: Kinescope to DV Cam to DVD. As such it is absolutely superior in quality to any other Space Patrol show that is being offered on the web or anywhere else. Comes with full color, factory sealed plastic collectors box.  This is the first release of any Space Patrol shows on DVD! This DVD combines volumes 1 and 2 of the Space Patrol VHS Gold Editions.  Exclusive with Swapsale -- $24.95

SPACE PATROL GOLD DVD Vol. 3.  This  high quality, factory sealed DVD contains four half hour episodes from the classic 1950s TV show, Space Patrol, presented in the order they were originally broadcast. These episodes, which have only recently been unearthed, have not been seen in nearly 50 years. The episodes are:  THE STAR RAIDERS: (Sept. 27, 1952, #92): The highly advanced but brutal Star Raiders plan to invade our system using their tremendous powers of destruction.  Of special note, well timed mini explosions when Buzz (Ed Kemmer) duels a Star Raider with electric rapiers.  THE CODE BREAKERS (Oct. 4, 1952, #93): Ken Mayer as Major Robby Robertson stands in for Kemmer (who missed this episode due to the death of his father) when plotters break the Space Patrol secret code in order to steal plans for a powerful new proton gun.  ERRAND OF MERCY (Oct. 11, 1952, #94): Buzz, Cadet Happy (Lynn Osborn), Tonga (Nina Bara) overshoot the mark when they use the ship's time-drive to bring much needed blood supplies to American soldiers fighting in the Korean war.  Landing in Nazi occupied territory in the 1940s, they are taken prisoner by a German commander (played by Bela Kovacs), who does not believe Buzz and crew are from the future and that "the Fatherland" will lose the war.  TREACHERY UNDERWATER (Oct. 18, 1952, #95): Buzz, Happy and Tonga are drawn to an underwater industrial complex on Planetoid 91 when a worker reports the apparent theft of valuable heavy water atoms.
