CAPTAIN VIDEO
Captain Video, Vol. 1, three half hour Richard Coogan TV episodes, two of which feature the evil Dr. Pauli. These episodes are from the very early years of the show before Coogan jumped ship (in sheer terror, probably), and thus contain more public service announcements then commercials although a Powerhouse candy bar commercial -- in which they hawk the Captain Video picture ring premium -- is featured on one episode. These episodes are rough, with drop outs and other problems that might effect your viewing pleasure -- OUT OF STOCK/AVAILABLE ON DVD ONLY -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Captain Video, Vol. 2, two half hour Al Hodge episodes. Judging from appearances, these episodes take place shortly after Hodge took over, before the budget was increased significantly, although some improvements in the show's production quality are immediately apparent. This tape comes with commercials (for Post cereals) and, like the Coogan episodes, a lot of camp fun. These episodes are rough, with drop outs and other problems that might effect your viewing pleasure -- OUT OF STOCK/AVAILABLE ON DVD ONLY

These episodes are rough with drop outs and other problems that might effect your viewing pleasure -- OUT OF STOCK/AVAILABLE ON DVD ONLY FOR TOM CORBETT GOLD CLICK HERE Tom Corbett -- The Super Series, Vol. 3. These are copies of out of copyright kinescopes. This tape picks up where volume two left off: After saving the Earth from the run-a-way asteroid, Tom and crew discover Roger Manning's secret. (This is the key to Roger's personality problems, his hostility toward the Space Academy and what he's about to do in this story arc.) In the wake of a kidnapping at Space Academy, the boys blast off in pursuit of space pirate Jim Masters, a former member of the Space Academy who was dishonorably discharged. Following him to Ganymede, the moon of Jupiter, the boys, along with Captain Strong and Joan Dale, are captured by Masters. Confronted with Master's overwhelming force, Roger quickly changes sides, selling out his mates. This tape has all the episodes of this story arc except for the concluding one which wouldn't fit on the tape. It's the first episode on volume 4. These are copies of out of copyright kinescopes not available to the public at large. Episode one concludes the story line begun on volume 3, with the defeat of Jim Masters, the space pirate. This episode is followed by the first chapter in a new story line -- about Earth under attack from some mystery force on the moon -- which picks up where the space pirate story left off. However, it is the last episode in this series of continuing story lines; The remaining three episodes on this tape are from later in the series, when the show was a half hour and Jan Merlin had been replaced by Jack Grimes. Those chapters are: The Run-A-Way Rocket, in which Tom and crew have to save Captain Strong and Commander Arkwright aboard an experimental rocket ship that is out of control and accelerating. (Patty McCormick appears in a commercial for Red Goose Shoes, the show's sponsor.); The Mystery of the Missing Mail Ship, which has Captain Strong captured by former Space Cadet Collins, drummed out of the service for risking the lives of his crew (as seen in volume 1). He is rescued by Tom on board the Polaris whose pursuit of Collins results in a vicious space battle (This show features a plug for the Space Cadet Membership Kit which contained a rocket ring, an arm patch and certificate); The Pursuit of the Deep Space Projectile, which finds a Cadet Monroe in charge of the boys as they rocket to Serius to retrieve a deep space probe (the projectile). When Strong and Thistle (Jack Grimes) get stranded in the projectile, Monroe's cowardice is revealed. These episodes are overall good and sharp considering that they are 50 year old kinescopes but may contain some minor defects due to the kinescopic process and other reproduction processes -- OUT OF STOCK/AVAILABLE ON DVD ONLY FOR TOM CORBETT GOLD CLICK HERE Any questions?
