I got it on Friday and I have to say, it's a nice work of art. I don't know
whether to wear it or frame it. I did try it on, and it looks like it will work
for me, even with washing. I really feel like a member of the crew now. Now I
have to get well-steeped in these videos on the site. The Tom Corbett, Rocky
Jones, etc. are things that were
about 10 years before my time. I kind of fell into this genre just recently,
after seeing Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow at my theatre. I was a
Trekkie growing up,
but I kind of shelved that away. Sky Captain re-ignited my zest for classic
sci-fi adventure, and the Solar Guard site seemed to be in that genre. Now I've
recently
bought some classic ray guns, including a Buck Rogers Sonic Ray. I also obtained
a 1950's rocket bank and a couple issues of Amazing Stories with cool looking
covers.
I'm in my early 40's, and I guess this is a way of reclaiming my youth, though
I've always felt like a kid at heart. I'll surely be in touch to get some more
stuff, but for now I have to save for my new house.
