Beautiful painted cover, B+ condition (it has a a very small tear and very small pieces missing at three corners, some barely noticeable curling along spine) and some small chips and tears on back cover. Front cover is missing pieces at the edges, has pencil writing on it and has two pieces of tape on it, one at the lower left, the other at the upper left. Back cover is missing entirely. Cover is complete with some crease marks and Scotch tape down the spine, along the top, bottom and side. No noticable marks other than that. Looks pretty good. Beautiful painted cover shows some stress at spine and has a small penciled distributors mark "2/21" on upper right corner. Cover has someone's name written in small print over the logo, a penciled "1950" over the word "The," a small section of scotch tape on lower portion of spine, stain on right side of cover and tape holding cover to interior portion of book. Tom Corbett, Space Cadet (above, left), No. 4, Nov-Jan 1953. Grade is good plus fine minus. Spine has a role in it, some chipping and stress marks. Edges show roughness and the corners have small folds in them. Interior pages are good except for the first two, one of which has a stain and a piece missing off its corner, the other of which just has the stain. Back cover is missing two inch by one inch piece in the lower left corner. Gloss is fair and cover has just a couple of scratch marks on it -- $ 23 ($70 NM, Overstreet) Tom Corbett, Space Cadet (painted cover), #7, Aug/Oct 53. Rated VG, there is a slight crease at the fold, some creases near the spine and at the corners. Cover has some light scratch marks. Back cover is missing a small piece at the upper left corner. It also looks like it might have been sprayed with a clear fixitive of some kind but you have to hold it up to the light to see this. Over all fine plus -- $$78 ($96 FN, Overstreet) Mad, The Nostalgic, #2, 1973. This is a reprint (of the original #2) that was bound into an issue of Mad magazine. Because the book was ripped from the magazine's binding the cover separated from the book and had to be taped to the body of the book at the spine. Otherwise the book is in excellent condition -- $10 Mad, #10, April 1954. Cover rough, missing pieces on all four corners plus right edge. Also damage to spine (taped on inside of front cover), tape on tear at right of cover and someone wrote "13" in the "M" of "Mad." Cover complete but showing heavy wear including a roll on the spine, crease marks, a few pencil and pen marks and some water damage on the lower right corner which is visible throughout the book. Some interior pages are folded at the corners, a few have minor rips and some are missing specks of paper at the edges. Back cover missing a 1 1/2" triangle at upper left -- $8 ($13 FN, Overstreet) FAWCETT Captain Marvel, Vol. 6, # 32, Feb. 1944. In beautiful condition despite some minor water damage (visible thought out book) on lower right corner and a very, very small tear in lower left cover -- $295 ($350 NM, Overstreet)
Captain Video # 1, Feb 1951. Cover has tape on spine and chipping at the edges but the book is otherwise fine although someone wrote on the back cover in ink (in small print) "3 George Evans art." It's hard to grade but I think it's between "good" and "very good" -- $159 ($282 FN Overstreet) Captain Video #6, 1951. Cover is starting to separate at lower part of spine. Upper and lower right corners have a piece missing (see pic), edges have chips and very small tears, there are stress marks on the spine and some creases and scratches on the cover face. FP/FOX PUBLICATIONS Science Comics, # 4, May 1939. Cover rough with some writing on logo and rough spots (with a few missing pieces) at edges and spine but still very enjoyable. Spine has been taped to the rest of the book and back cover is missing but the interior pages, despite some roughness at the edges, are complete and not terribly brittle -- $100 ($135 GD, Overstreet)

Overall near mint but cover does have a slight discoloration down right edge and some interior pages have fold marks at lower right corner -- $85 ($110 NM, Overstreet) IW Fire Hair, White Daughter of the Sioux, # 8. Reprints Rangers # 57. Contains work by Jerry Grandehetti. Cover has some minor chipping at edges but the book is otherwise FN/NM -- $15 ($25 NM, Overstreet) Planet Comics, # 1, this is a reprint issue from the 50s and not to be confused with the original first issue. In all probability the stories are not from the original first issue. Still its a beautiful book with a near mint front cover; back cover has one very minor tear which also impacts (slightly) on the last seven interior pages -- $40 ($60 NM, Overstreet) Top Detective Comics, # 9. Reprint. Tape on the spine and, although the cover is intact, it shows some signs of wear. The interior of the book is complete and undamaged -- $3 ($4.50 FN, Overstreet) Top Jungle, # 1. Reprints White Princess of the Jungle #3, minus cover; Front and back covers missing a few tiny pieces at the edges and back cover has slight tear. Interior of book is complete but shows some wear and tear -- $5 ($7.50 FN, Overstreet) KING FEATURES Magic Comics, # 123, Nov/Dec 1949. Cover intact with some rough spots at upper and lower right corners and spine. Featuring Dagwood, Mandrake and Secret agent X-9 -- over all the book is in fine condition -- $15 ($17 FN, Overstreet) MAGAZINE ENTERPRISES Major Inapak, The Space Ace., # 1, 1951. Except for a slight printing error (it looks like the front cover and back were laid on top of each other while still wet, thus over printing images, but you have to look hard to notice this), the book is near mint. Book appears to have been a promotional give-a-way for Inapak chocolate milk.. Many warehouse copies surfaced in 1973 -- $2 ($2 NM, Overstreet) Straight Arrow, # 5 Sept 1950. Cover has small rip in the front which was repaired with tape from the back. Cover also has distributor's stamp which reads "L.A. News, Aug. 1, 1950." Otherwise, with the exception of some pages with missing corners and a few minor tears, the interior and rest of book is above average. Art by Powell, Fred Meagher and others. Add for Straight Arrow arrow tie clip (from Nabisco Shredded Wheat) on back cover -- $37 ($52 FN, Overstreet) WHITMAN/WESTERN PUBLISHING The Lone Ranger, # 18, a 1974 reprint of a 1957 comic.
